Electromagnetic or magnetic induction is the production of an electromotive force across an electrical conductor in a changing magnetic field. Electric current can be induced in a coil due to the relative motion between the coil and a magnetic field. There are two ways to do so. 1. Inducing current on a coil by moving the coil in a magnetic field 2. Inducing current on a coil by by changing the magnetic field across it. 3. By taking two conducting coils and insert them over a non conducting cylindrical roll then on changing current flowing in one coil, an induced current is obtained in the other coil. Note: Convenient way is to induce current is to move coil inside magnetic field.
