Acceleration of any charged particle Q in electric field E is given by

a = qE/m , where m is mass of charged particle.

Here you can see , if electric field is constant then, acceleration is directly proportional to charge and inversely proportional to mass

e.g., a  q/m

Now, for proton :

Charge = 1e [ 1e = + 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹C ]

mass = mp [ assume mass of proton = mp ]

for deutron :

charge = 1e

mass = 2mp

∴ 1e/mp : 1e/2mp

⇒ 1 : 1/2

multiply by 2

=2:1

Hence, ratio of acceleration is 2 : 1
