I was returning home with the U-Bahn after a tiring day at the university. Since the ride back home is usually a very long and boring one (it takes me an hour to reach the uni from my place), it is the perfect time for me to relax by either watching something on my laptop or writing answers on Quora or even simply browsing Quora.
It was around 21.00 in the evening and after the arduous day at work, I decided to de-stress myself by watching some random episodes from the US sitcom from the 90s, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. on my way back.
A middle aged lady, probably in her 40s, came and sat next to me. Noticing her stare at my laptop screen with great curiosity for a while, I decided to pause the show and strike up a conversation with her.
With her broken English and my broken German, I got to know that she was from Poland and she was also a huge fan of F. R. I. E. N. D. S. Then she further requested if I could kindly put the subtitles on, as she would like to follow it as well.
