Answer : The fraction of electronic charge on exist on each end  will be, 25%

Explanation : Given,

Dipole moment = 1.2D=1.2\times 10^{-18}\text{ esu cm}

conversion used : 1D=1\times 10^{-18}\text{ esu cm}

Bond length = 1.0\AA=1.0\times 10^{-8}cm

conversion used : 1\AA=1\times 10^{-8}cm

Formula used :

\text{Electronic charge}=\frac{\text{Dipole moment}}{\text{Bond length}}

Now put all the given values in this formula, we get:

\text{Electronic charge}=\frac{1.2\times 10^{-18}\text{ esu cm}}{1.0\times 10^{-8}cm}

\text{Electronic charge}=1.2\times 10^{-10}\text{ esu}

Thus, the fraction of electronic charge on exist on each end  will be,

=\frac{1.2\times 10^{-10}}{4.8\times 10^{-10}}=0.25=25\%
