Total no. of outcomes; n(s) = 6 [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

No. Of favourable outcomes; n(e) = 2 [3, 6]

P(getting a multiple of 3) = n(e)/ n(s)

= 2/6 =1/3

the no.s on the faces of the dice are 1,2,3,4,5,6

in these the no of multiples of three is two.

probability=no. of chances/total no.

=2/6 = 1/3

so probability=1/3
