This shouldn’t be too hard for you to figure out yourself.
A fair die has six sides. The possible values it can throw are 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6.
Three of these are even numbers. That’s 3 out of 6… or 3/6… or 1/2… or 50%.
To calculate the probability of something happening more than once, you simply multiply the probabilities together. (In other words, the chance of it happening a single time * the chance of it happening a single time.)
The chance of an even number showing is 1/2, as we just saw. The chance of an even number showing three times would be 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 — which would be 1/8.
Based on that, can you now calculate the chance of it happening twice?
