When a dice is rolled once, the possible events are { 1 , 2 , 3 ,4 ,5,6 }

Events in which we get less than 6 are 5
Total number of events = 6 .

We know that,
Probability = Favourable outcomes / Total outcomes.

Probability of getting a number less than 6 = 5/6 .

Hope helped !

5
Total events = 6
Required outcomes = 5 ( less than 6 which means 1,2,3,4,5)

Now ,
P(of getting less than 6) = 5/6
