Total no. of times die thrown = 300

No. of times odd obtained = 153

No. of times even obtainec = 300-153
= 147

Probability of even =

No. of times even obtained/ No. of time die thrown

147/300

= 49/100

Hope it helps.

Given:

a die is thrown 300 times and odd are obtained 153 times.

To Find:

Find the probability of getting an even number

Solution:

To find the probability of an outcome we use the formula as

                         P=\frac{Possible outcomes}{total outcomes}

Now when a dice is thrown it will either give an odd number or an even number and the odd numbers have been observed 153 times out of the 300

so the remaining would be the even ones

So the possible outcomes to get an even number will be 300-153=147 and the total outcomes space will be 300 times

Now put these values in the given formula we will get the result as

P=\frac{147}{300}\\=0.49\\

Hence, the probability of getting an even number will be 0.49.
