Probability = number of Favourable outcomes / total possible outcomes

Possible outcomes

These are the outcomes possible { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 }

= 6

Favourable outcomes

These are  factors of 36 = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 }

= 5

Favourable outcomes = 6 - 5 = 1

Probability = 1/6
