(a) Differentiate between uniform linear and uniform circular motion.
(b) Write any four examples of uniform circular motion
(c) Is uniform circular motion accelerated motion?
Answers
Answer:
(a)
The basic difference between uniform linear motion & uniform circular motion is. Uniform Linear Motion: Velocity is constant & thus it is a uniform motion. Acceleration is zero. Uniform Circular Motion: Velocity is not constant due to continuous change in Direction & thus it is not a uniform motion.
(b)The 4 examples of uniform circular motion are :-
1> motion of fan or blades .
2> motion of earth or revolution of earth around sun
3> motion of a ball tied to a string being swung in a horizontal circle
4> motion of any player on running track.
(c)Uniform circular motion is accelerated because the velocity changes due to continuous change in the direction of motion. So, even when the body moves ta a constant speed, its velocity is not constant. Thus, for a body moving in a circular path at a constant speed, its velocity changes continuously.

Answer:
uniform linear motion is a vilocity constant where as uniform circular motion is a non vilocity constant
