Sol: Selling price of a dinner set = Rs 2464 Discount percentage = 12% Let the marked price be 'x'. Discount is always calculated on the marked price. Discount = (x) ×(12/100) = 3x/25 Marked price - Discount = Selling Price x - 3x/25 = 2464 22x/25 = 2464 x = 2464 x (25/22) x = 112 x 25 x = 2800 Therefore, marked price of the dinner set is Rs 2800.

Answer:

2464 = 88% of mrp,

so 88% = 2464

than 100% = (2464 x 100)/88

= 2800 Rs.
