angular acceleration of disc would be 0.25 rad/s²

mass of disc, m = 200 kg

radius of disc, r = 2m

torque acting on disc, τ = 100 Nm

first of all, we have to find moment of inertia of disc about its centre of mass.

we know moment of inertia about an axis passing through its centre of mass, I = mr²/2

= (200 kg)(2m)²/2

= 400 kgm²

we know torque, τ = I × α

⇒100 Nm = 400 kgm² × α

⇒α= 1/4 = 0.25 rad/s²
