"A Diseased mind is even more harmful than the disease itself." Justify this statement with reference to O'Henry"s "The Last Leaf."

In this story a diseased mind means a mind full of negativity is elaborated through the character named Johnsy. She assumed her life with the leaves of tree.she doesn't have any disease but a negativity made her to feel illness. As a circle of nature the last leaf galled though she was alive as her thinking was stuck on the last leaf and on morning her assumption on last leaf became behrman's masterpiece. And even at the curing stage she keep on assuming her life with last leaf.
