a doctor was examining a patient for ailment in eye, doctor focused light from a brightly lit torch on the pupil of the patient .the patient yelled he is unable to see the light from the torch. what may be the reason??

Whenever a light is foccused on pupil (large amount of light ) than the eye pupil contract as it take time to be at its nrml position that is why person is unabl to see
