a dog of mass 16 kg is running at a constant speed of 12 m/s. calculate the kinetic energy of the dog.

If we consider m as mass of dog and velocity or speed is v, then kinetic energy is:

= ½ m v²

We have m = 16 kg

And v = 12 m/s

Kinetic energy = ½ m v²

  = ½ X 16 X 12²

  = 8 X 144

  = 1152 J

The kinetic energy of the dog is 1152 joules.
