According to question the donkey jumps 5 metre and slips down 3 metres in every time.

Donkey goes up = 5 - 3

➡ 2

So literary donkey goes up 2 metre.

➡ 2 metre up every time.

Well is 40 metres deep.

So, if every time donkey will climb up 2 metre, he will climb up the well in

➡ 40÷2

➡ 20 times.

In 20 times, if donkey will climb 5 metre and slips 3 metre he will climb up the well.
