Answer:

Unlike NH3 ,PH3 molecules are not associated through hydrogen bonding in liquid state. That is why the boiling point of PH3 is lower than NH3. ... This hydrogen bonding is the strongest of all the bonds and results in greater attraction between NH₃ molecule than in PH₃ molecules which has weak dispersion forces .

When chlorine gas (Cl2) is added to the water (H2O), it hydrolyzes rapidly to produce hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and the hypochlorous acid will then dissociate into hypochlorite ions (OCl-) and hydrogen ions (H+). Because hydrogen ions are produced, the water will become more acidic (the pH of the water will decrease).

Oxygen gas can be prepared in the laboratory by hydrogen peroxide and manganese dioxide. In this reaction manganese dioxide is used as catalyst. The apparatus is set up as shown in the figure. Hydrogen peroxide is poured in manganese dioxide and water having a conical flask with the help of a thistle funnel.

a) Xenon oxytetrafluoride

Xenon oxyfluoride (XeOF4) is square t.

b) Boiling point of PH3 is less than NH3 beacuse persence of hydrogen bonding in NH3.

↪hydrogen bonding is the strongest of all the bonds.

c) Cl2 + H20 ==> HOCl + HCl

d) perparation of oxygen

H2O2 ===> H2O + O2

this reaction in presence of MnO2 catalyst.
