A driver of a car A travelling at 54 km/h applies the brakes and stops the car in 4 seconds. Another driver of car B travelling at 36 km/h applies the brakes and stops the car in 6 second. Plot speed versus time graphs for the two cars. Which of the two cars travelled further before stopping?
Please plot the speed vs time graph too its really necesaary. PLEASE!

Answer:

after plotting the graph...fond the acceleration using the data they have given

Acceleration of the body travel with 15 ms^-1

v = u + at \:  \:  \:  \\ 0 = 15 + ( - a) \times 4 \\ a = 3.75

acceleration of the body travels with 10ms^-1

v = u + at \\ 0 = 10 + ( - a)6   \\ a = 1.66

and then find the distances

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}

Apply the above equation for both the 2 bodies

then use get

distance travel by body with 15ms^-1

as 90m

and distance travel by the body with 10ms^-1

as 88.8

therefore body with 15ms-1 (A) has travelled more distance..
