When a drop of ink is placed on the surface of water, it spread over the water and finally mixed with water because of the motion of particles, hence this process is diffusion. Thus, we can also state that the process by which molecules spread from areas of high concentration, to areas of low concentration takes place because of diffusion.

as we know that the definition of diffussion is
that the intermixing of a substances is know as difussion . the above case occurs due to diffussion .as the molecules of the ink gets mixed with the molecules of water.the molecules of liquid collide with the ink molecule due to which the ink spreads in the water and the water gets colourful.
