A drum of kerosene oil is 3/4 full. When 15 litres of oil is drawn from it, it is 7/2 full. Find the total capacity of the drum.

Explanation:

Let the total capacity be x

(3x/4) - 15 = (7x/12)

(3x-60/4) = (7x/12)

12(3x-60)=4(7x)

36x-720= 28x

36x-28x= 720

8x = 720

x = 90 litres

I THINK THAT YOUR QUESTION IS WRONG THERE SHOULD BE (7/12) INSTEAD OF (7/2).
