<b>Hey mate!

For first 3 hours, the duck flew

=> 18 × 3

=> 54 km

For next 2 hours , the duck flew

=> 15 × 2

=> 30 km

Total distance covered by flew = (54 + 30)km

= 84 km

Hence the duck flew \bold{\boxed{\red{\large{84\:km}}}}

Thanks for the question!

The duck flew 84 km

Given : A duck flew at 18 km per hour for 3 hours, then at 15 km per hour for 2 hours.

To find : The distance covered by the duck.

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to calculate the distance covered by the duck)

In the 18 km/h speed for 3 hours

  • The duck covered a distance of = 18 × 3 = 54 km

In the 15 km/h speed for 2 hours

  • The duck covered a distance of = 15 × 2 = 30 km

The total distance covered by the duck :

= (54 + 30) km

= 84 km

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, the duck flew 84 km
