in traingle ADE and ABC

EA=AC. (Given)

angle EAD =angle BAC. (Vertically Opp. angle)

BA=AD. (Given)

traingle ADE is congruent to traingle ABC (by SAS criteria of congruency)

angle ABC =angle ADE. (CPCT)

since angle ABC equals angle ADE

and they are also alternate angle

= DE//BC (hence proved)
