An eukaryotic nucleus is porous as theinner part of the nucleus is in contact with the cytoplasm with the help of nuclear pores

nucleus is a double membrane bound structure with an outer and inner nuclear membrane

These membranes are separated by perinuclear space which is 20-40nm in diameter
