  • Nucleolemma or nuclear membrane or karyotheca- is a limiting membrane that separates the nucleus from the cytoplasm and transports important material between the nucleus and cytoplasm.

  • Nucleolus is a spherical dark structure present inside the nucleus

  • Chromatin is genetic material made of DNA and histone protein

  • Nuclear matrix or nucleoplasm is semifluid homogenous substance.

b) Why is nucleus called the control centre of the cell?

Answer:

The nucleus is generally considered the control center of the cell because it stores all of the genetic instructions for manufacturing proteins.

c) What is difference in position of nucleous in plant and animal cell?

Answer:

The nucleus is present in both the cells, but in Plant cell it lies on one side while it is present in the center of the Animal cell.
