Ans(a) As nitric acid is strong oxidising agent ,it oxidises hydrogen gas to form water when reacting with metals.Thus,metals do not liberate H gas with dil. nitric acid.
Ans(b) Two metals that can liberate H gas with nitric acid are Magnesium and Manganese
