Given:

A family consists of father, mother, son, and Daughter.

The ratio of the Father weight to the weight of the son 3:2

The ratio of the weight of the son to the weight of the mother is 5:6

If the weight of the Daughter is 35kg, half the weight of the father

To find:

The weight of the mother

Solution:

The ratio of father, son & mother is,

= Father : Son : Mother

=   3        :    2

                    5    :    6

= (3 × 5) : (2 × 5) : (2 × 6)

= 15 : 10 : 12

Let's consider,

"15x" → Father's weight

"10x" → Son's weight

"12x" → Mother's weight

Daughter's weight is 35 kg which is half the weight of the father

∴ Father's weight = 2 × 35 = 70 kg

i.e., 15x = 70

\implies x = \frac{70}{15}

Therefore,

Mother's weight = 12x = 12 \times \frac{70}{15} = 4 \times \frac{70}{5} = 4 \times14 = 56\:kg

Thus, the weight of the mother is → 56 kg.
