◉ Q is the son of R but R is not mother of Q.

If R isn't Mother of Q , then R is Father of Q

◉ P and R are a married couple.

In the above statement we seen R is Father of Q , and so R is a Male. Hence , P is Female & Wife of R & Mother of Q

◉ Y is the brother of R.

Y is Male & Brother of R

◉ X is the daughter of P.

X is daughter of P too & Sister of Q (Son of P & Q)

◉ Z is the brother of P.

Z in Male & Brother of P

☢ Here we can see that we have three Pairs of Siblings :

  • R (Male) & Y (Male)
  • X (Female) & Q (Male)
  • Z (Male) & P (Female)

So we can see that we have only one pair of Brothers i.e. R and Y Pair

\therefore\:\underline{\textsf{Correct required answer is D) \textbf{R and Y}}}.
