1. The main criteria while selecting a house in any state will be to see that the rent is in the budget, the area is a proper residential area, there should be basic amenities nearby especially during emergencies, it should be easy to commute from place of work or schools, it should be a relatively safe area especially for kids and women.

2. The weather in Mumbai is humid over the year as it has seacoast of the Arabian sea. So, people usually prefer wearing light clothes to prevent heavy perspiration. Also, Mumbai is a place where it rains a lot during the monsoons. However, Delhi is a place where although it does not rain beyond limits, it has extreme hotness during the summers and extreme chillness during the winters. So, the clothes should be light during the summers and will need jackets, sweaters, scarves, thermals etc. during the winters.

3. Delhi is a comparatively less expensive place when compared to Mumbai. So, a family earning the same salary in Delhi as it was earning in Mumbai will have a slightly better opportunity to spend more or save more in Delhi while compared to the lifestyle in Mumbai.

4. A house to be rented by a middle-class family in Mumbai will have not much space when compared to the huge rent that is paid for it. However, depending on the areas, Delhi will offer a better home in terms of space for the rent that is paid. For the rent that is paid in Mumbai, Delhi will have a much bigger house in a popular locality with many amenities compared to Mumbai.
