the transfer of pollen grain from anther to stigma in flowering plant is called pollination .It is of two types self pollination and cross pollination .The anther transfer to the stigma by any agents which help in pollination like insects, wind etc . the pollen grain lands on the stigma and germinate a pollen tube through the style and reaches to the ovule in the ovary and release a two male gametes one is fused with the egg and forms zygote but other is fused with secondary nuclei to form endosperm which nourish the development of zygote
