A family have a bag containing rice. One day they eat 1/2 of it and on the next day they eat 1/3 of it. a) What fraction of the bag has been consumed in the two days? b) What fraction of the bag remains for the third day?

a)total consumed rice in 2 days = 5/6

b) rice remains in bag for third day = 1/6
