Ans will be 18 days..Total period = 18 days
After 3 days, period = 18 days - 3 days = 15 days
Number of persons in the family at the beginning = 6
Now, after 3 days, 1 person goes out of station
So, number of persons after 3 days = 6 - 1 = 5
Suppose the remaining food will last for x days.
So, by the inverse proportion; we have;
⇒5:6 :: 15:x⇒56 = 15x⇒x = 155×6 = 18
Therefore, the remaining food will last for 18 days.
After 3 days, period = 18 days - 3 days = 15 days
Number of persons in the family at the beginning = 6
Now, after 3 days, 1 person goes out of station
So, number of persons after 3 days = 6 - 1 = 5
