Length L of photograph = 14 2/5

= (14 x 5 + 2) / 5

= 72/5 cm

Breadth B of photograph = 10 2/5

= (10 x 5 + 2) / 5

= 52/5 cm

Border b = 2 3/5

= (2 x 5 + 3) / 5

= 13/5 cm

So area of framed photograph = (L + 2b).(B + 2b)

2b = 13/5 x 2 = 26/5

Area = (72/5 + 26/5).(52/5 + 26/5)

Area = 98/5 x 78/5

Area = 7644/25 cm^2

Or we can write

Area = 305 19/25 cm^2
