total balls taken for century= 38*6

balls= 228

runs scored= 100

run rate= 100/38

run rate = 2.63

Let the runs scored be x

Now, in 47.5 overs

2.63=x/47.5

x= 125 runs (approx.)

Hope it helps!!

Answer:

125 runs is the correct answer.

Given:

A famous batsman scored a century in 38 overs

To find:

how many runs would be scored in 47. 5 overs if the run rate is constant

Solution:

1 century = 100 runs

runs scored in 38 overs = 100 runs

runs scored in 1 over = 100/38 runs

runs scored in 47.5 overs = 100/38 x 47.5 = 125 runs

Hence, 125 runs is the correct answer.
