Solution :
Let cost price of a fan = Rs x
gain ( g ) = x/6
Selling price ( s.p ) = 644 ( given )
=> c.p + gain = 644
=> x + x/6 = 644
=> ( 6x + x )/6 = 644
=> 7x/6 = 644
=> x = ( 644 × 6 )/7
=> x = 92 × 6
=> x = Rs 552
C.P of the fan = Rs 552
Therefore ,
gain percentage = ( g × 100 )/c.p
= [( x/6 )/x ] × 100
= 1/6 × 100
= 50/3 %

Answer:
16.66
Step-by-step explanation:
Let the price be x
So, the profit= Rs.x/6
SP = Rs. 644
Gain = 644-x
x/6 = 644-x
x/6+x = 644
x+6x/6 = 644
7x/6 = 644
x = 644×6/7
x = 552
hence, P = x/6 = 552/6 = 92
P% = 92/552×100
= 1150/ 69
= 16.65
