The angular velocity of a rotating object is used to determine its rate of rotation along with the direction of its movement.

v = 100 rpm (rotations per minute) = 100/60 = 5/3 Hertz (Hz).

Angular velocity, w = 2πv

=> w = 2 * 3.14 * (5/3)

=> w = 10.46 rads per second
