A farm has a ratio of pigs to cows of 7:8, and cows to chickens of 4:9, what is the ratio of pigs to chickens

The answer is given below :

Pigs : Cows = 7 : 8 = 7/8

and

Cows : Chickens = 4 : 9 = 4/9

We multiply the second fraction's numerator and denominator by 2. Then it becomes 8/18.

So, the required ratio of Pigs to the Chickens be

= 7 : 18
