Dear Student,

● Answer -

(a) Perimeter of fence = 56 m

(b) Cost of fence = 2800 Rs

◆ Explanation -

Given that 1 m margin is kept all around the plot for fence.

So length of fence is 1+14+1 = 16 m and width is 1+10+1 = 12 m.

So perimeter of fence is -

Perimeter = 2 (length + width)

Perimeter = 2 (16 + 12)

Perimeter = 2 × 28

Perimeter = 56 m

Total cost of putting fence is calculated as -

Cost of fence = 56 × 50

Cost of fence = 2800 Rs

Hence, fence will be 56 m long and 2800 Rs will be its cost.

Hope that is useful...
