A farmer had a square plot of land.He gave 1/4 to his wife. He asked his four sons to share the remaining portion of the land equally and he said that all of them must get the land equally and in the same shape. Help the sons to divide the land

let take area of land be x cm²
then,
the amount of land given to his wife=x/4
remaining land=x-x/4⇒remaining land=3x/4
now ther are four son therefore each will get=(3x/4)/4=3x/16
∴each son get (3x/16) cm² of area
