A farmer has 20 animals in his cattle. He has food to feed them for 42 days. How long would the food last if he added one more animal in his cattle

1 more cattle added
So,no.of cattles =21
Food last for 42 days
Let the food lasts for days when one cattle is added

21 + X = 42
X=42/21
X=2

Food lasts for days when one cattle is added
=42-2
=40

The food will now lasts for 40 days
