Given :  A farmer has 25 cows numbered 1 to 5 no 1 cow gives 1kg milk ... no 2 gives 2 kg no 3 give 3kg no 4gives 4kg no 5kg gives 5 kg per day and so on

To find : Distribution of cows such that  every son take 5 cows & total quantity of milk will be same.

Solution:

correction in question : total 25 cows

then only 5 son will get 5 cows each

Total Milk

= 1 + 2 + 3 + .......................................+ 25

= 25(25 + 1)/2

= 325 kg

Total cows = 25

Total Milk = 325 kg

Son = 5

Each Son should get  = 325/5 = 65  kg

there can be multiple solutions:

Here is one of them :

Son 1  get  -   cow  1 , cow 25 cow 2  , cow 24  , cow 13

Son 2 Get     cow 3   cow 23   cow 4   Cow  21   Cow 14

Son3  get     cow 5    cow 22    cow 6   cow 20    cow 12

Son4  get      cow7    cow 19     cow 8    cow 16    cow 15

Son5  get      cow9   cow 18     cow 10    cow 17    cow 11

sum in each case = 65 kg
