Answer:

the present age of father is 45 years and daughter is 20 years

Step-by-step explanation:

let father age be x and daughter age

be y

according to first condition,

x = 25 + y, equation (1)

according to condition second condition,

x = 2y + 5

x - 2y = 5, equation (2)

put equation (1) in equation (2)

25 + y - 2y = 5

25- y = 5

25 - 5 = y

y = 20

put y = 20 in equation (1)

x = 25 + 20

x = 45

therefore, the present age of father is 45 years and daughter is 20 years

Step-by-step explanation:

let consider daughter's age = x

Then father's age is = x+25

In 3 years

daughter will be = x+3

father's age = x+25+3 = x+28

Father's age = 5year more than twice that of his daughter

x+28 = 2(x+3)+5

x+28 = 2x+ 6+5

28-6-5= 2x-x

17 = x

therefore daughter's age is 17

father's age is 42
