Let the age of son be x
So father's age is 3x
After 12 years father's age will be 2x+24 which will be equal to 3x+12
2x+24=3x+12
24-12 =3x-2x
Thus x=12
Thus father's present age is 36
Son's present age is 12

Hope it helps

Hi Friend !!!

===================

let the sons age be x

fathers age = 3x

After 12 years ,

fathers age = 3x+12

sons age = x + 12

3x+12 = 2(x+12)

3x+12 = 2x + 24

x = 12

sons age = x = 12 years

fathers age = 3x = 3(12)

= 36 years

Hope it helps u :-)
