Hii friend,

Let the age of father and son be X and Y year's.

According to question,

X = 4Y.....(1)

Again,

Y = X-36.....(2)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

Y = X-36

Y = 4Y -36

4Y-Y = 36

3Y = 36

Y = 36/3

Y = 12

Age of son = Y = 12 years.

And,

Age of father = 4Y = 4 × 12 = 48 years.

Hence,

Age of father and son is 48 and 12 years.
