Let the present age of son be x

age of father=4x

5 years later,

age of son =x+5

age of father=4x+5

A/q

4x+5=3 (x+5)

4x+5=3x+15

4x-3x=15-5

x=10

present age of son =10years

present age of father=4×10=40years

Answer:

Let the present age of son be x years and present age of father will be 4x years.

According to Question now,

➳ 3(x + 5) = 4x + 5

➳ 3x + 15 = 4x + 5

➳ 15 - 5 = 4x - 3x

➳ x = 10 years

Therefore,

Present age of son = x = 10 years

Present age of father = 4x = 40 years
