Let son's age be x

Father's age be y

According to question,

y=3x_____(1)

After 15 years,

Son's age will be (x+15)

Father's age will be (y+15)

According to question,

2(x+15)=(y+15)

2x+30=y+15

2x+15 = y_____(2)

Subtract equation 1 from 2

(2x+15=y)-(3x=y)

X=15

Hence present age of son is equal to 15 years and present age of father is equal to 3(x)=3(15)=45 years
