Answer:
The father was drunk.
Explanation:
A person who is drunk loses control over his thinking. In a state of inebriation he fails to differentiate between right and wrong; just and unjust; and sensible and insensible. One often behaves uncontrollably. Only a drunk father can do such a heinous act as killing his son.

Answer:
The father was drunk, so he killed his son. He was not a very good father even when he was sober, but he was at his worst when he was drunk. He beat his wife and daughters on a daily basis. His son escaped the beatings of his father because he seldom came home. But that fateful night, he came home to take his mother and sister away with him to a safer place, but his father walked on him and killed him in a fit of rage.
