q = 100/2.66666

q= 37.5C

Let the reading on the faulty thermometer be x ans the corresponding reading on Celsius scale be C.

x-L.F.P/U.F.P-L.F.P=C-0/100-0

X-5/95-5=C/100

C=100/90(X-5)

C=10/9(59-5)            (X=59)

C=10/9(54)

C=60 degree celsius.
