\%of \: phosphate = \frac{4}{15} \times 100   =  \frac{80}{3}\% \\  \frac{80}{3}kg \: phosphate \: in \: 100 \: kg \: fertilizer \\ so  \: number \: of \: kg \: of \: fertilizer \: that  \\ \: contain\: 80 \: kg \: phosphate  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: =     \frac{80 \times 100 \times 3}{8} = 3000kg \\ so \: fertilizer \: is \: 3000kg

Answer:

Amount of the Fertilizer is 300 kg.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Ratio of the Phosphate : Nitrogen : Potash = 4 : 6 : 5

Weight of the Phosphate in fertilizer = 80 kg

To find: Total Weight of the Fertilizer

So, Amount of Phosphate , Nitrogen and Potash = 4y , 6y and 5y kg respectively.

According to the question,

4y = 80

y = 20

Total Amount of the Fertilizer = 4y + 6y + 5y

                                                 = 4 × 20 + 6 × 20 + 5 × 20   (putting the value of y)

                                                 = 80 + 120 + 100

                                                 = 300 kg

Therefore, Amount of the Fertilizer is 300 kg.
