( Mass of bullet ) ( velocity of the shell ) + ( mass of gun ) ( recoil velocity ) = 0

Recoil velocity = ( mass of shell ÷ mass of gun ) ( velocity of shell )

Recoil velocity = ( 15 ÷ 1500 ) ( 150 )

Recoil velocity = ( 15 ÷ 10 )

Recoil velocity = 1.5 m/s
