Answer:

Width of the road is 14m

Step-by-step explanation:

Here there will be two concentric circles The road being the bigger one. To find the width we need to subtract the radius of the field (R₂) from the radius of the road (R₁)

  • R₁ - R₂  = width of road
  • 2 ×\pi x Radius = Circumference

Radius of field

  • 2 x 22 / 7 x R₂  = 220 m
  • R₂ = 220 x 7 / 2 x 22
  • R₂ = 5 x 7 = 35m

Radius of road

  • 2 x 22 / 7 x R₁  = 308 m
  • R₁ = 308 x 7 / 2 x 22
  • R₁ = 7 x 7 = 49m

Width of the road

  • R₁ - R₂  = width of road
  • 49m - 35m = 14m
